Project Overview

The Gardens by the Bay @ Marina Bay – Cool Moist project forms a key part of Singapore’s world-renowned waterfront garden complex, designed to replicate the unique conditions of a tropical mountain cloud forest. Located within the 101-hectare Gardens by the Bay development, the Cool Moist conservatory features a striking mountain-like structure adorned with lush vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and advanced climate control systems to maintain high humidity and cooler temperatures. The project focuses on environmental education, biodiversity preservation, and sustainable engineering, contributing to Singapore’s “City in a Garden” vision. Its intricate design required precise coordination of architectural, structural, and MEP elements to achieve seamless integration and optimal performance.

Our Role

Our role in the Cool Moist conservatory was to serve as a specialized BIM Consultant, providing comprehensive BIM modeling for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure constructability and coordination. This scope included:

  • Developing accurate, detailed BIM models for design validation and multi-disciplinary integration
  • Conducting clash detection and constructability reviews to minimize on-site issues
  • Creating coordination models for alignment among all trades during construction
  • Supporting structural support modeling and as-built documentation for complex features like the Mountain Wall
  • Delivering precise model-based data to improve fabrication, installation, and quality control
    Through these services, we facilitated efficient project execution, reduced rework, and ensured the Cool Moist conservatory met its environmental and design objectives with exceptional accuracy.
