Project Overview
The 400 Bed Educational Hospital in Al Najaf is a major healthcare infrastructure project developed by the Ministry of Health, Iraq, to serve as a modern medical and educational facility. The complex comprises a ground plus four-storey main hospital building, designed with advanced healthcare systems and integrated educational spaces to train future medical professionals. The project prioritizes patient care, operational efficiency, and adaptability, with design features that support both current medical needs and future technological advancements. As a large-scale healthcare facility, it required meticulous design coordination across architectural, structural, and MEP systems to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and seamless functionality.
Our Role
Our role in the 400 Bed Educational Hospital project was as the BIM Implementation Consultant, engaged by the project consultant to support the design and engineering teams. This scope included:
- Training a 30-member BIM core team of architects and engineers on BIM software and workflows
- Implementing BIM processes for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
- Developing coordinated BIM models to identify and resolve design conflicts early
- Providing ongoing project supervision during a one-month implementation program
- Ensuring that BIM deliverables met international healthcare facility standards and client requirements
By leveraging BIM, we enhanced project coordination, reduced potential construction issues, and ensured the hospital’s design was optimized for both operational efficiency and future expansion needs construction accuracy, and supported the timely delivery of one of Bangkok’s most prominent residential projects.
