Project Overview

The Gardens by the Bay @ Marina Bay – Cool Dry project is part of Singapore’s iconic waterfront garden development, designed to showcase sustainable horticulture and architectural excellence. Situated within the 101-hectare Gardens by the Bay complex, the Cool Dry conservatory features a distinctive glass and steel structure that creates a controlled, arid climate environment for plant species from temperate and desert regions. The project emphasizes environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and architectural innovation, contributing to Singapore’s vision of becoming a “City in a Garden.” Its unique design and engineering demanded high precision in planning and execution to achieve seamless integration of architectural form, structural support, and MEP systems.

Our Role

Our role in the Cool Dry conservatory was to serve as a specialized BIM Consultant, delivering complete BIM modeling for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to support constructability and coordination. This scope included:

  • Developing accurate and detailed BIM models for design validation and integration
  • Conducting constructability reviews and clash detection across all disciplines to prevent conflicts during construction
  • Producing coordination models to align all trades and ensure efficient on-site workflows
  • Supporting contractors and consultants with precise model-based data for fabrication, erection, and installation
  • Enhancing project productivity, minimizing waste, and reducing errors through data-driven decision-making

Through these services, we ensured that the complex geometry and multi-disciplinary coordination of the Cool Dry conservatory were executed with the highest accuracy, aligning with the project’s sustainability and performance goals.
