Project Overview
The Point-Cloud Technology with BIM project for the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore was undertaken to support alterations and additions to existing hospital facilities. The initiative involved converting high-precision point-cloud survey data into a detailed, as-built BIM model to guide renovation and expansion works. This process ensured accurate representation of the existing conditions, enabling design teams to plan modifications with minimal disruption to hospital operations. By leveraging point-cloud technology, the project achieved a high level of accuracy in capturing complex geometries, structural elements, and MEP systems within the hospital’s operational environment.
Our Role
Our role in the Concrete Usage Index Projects was to provide BIM model-based quantity extraction services to support material planning and project compliance. This scope included:
- Creating detailed BIM models for each development to calculate accurate concrete quantities
- Extracting and compiling material usage data in line with regulatory requirements
- Supporting project teams with data-driven insights to improve cost control and reduce waste
- Assisting in planning and procurement processes with precise volume estimates
- Ensuring that the projects met sustainability benchmarks and industry standards
Through these services, we helped project stakeholders improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and achieve compliance with national construction guidelines.chieve better coordination among trades, and meet the demanding standards of a luxury residential development.
